Continuing Our Tradition of Research Excellence
Mission Statement
PAMF's Research Institute will be recognized nationally and internationally as a center of excellence in health care services, health policy, health promotion and outcomes research and training. It will leverage its close connection with health care delivery and patient/community education arms, and the information resources, of PAMF to design, execute, and rigorously evaluate new models of health promotion and health care using state-of-the-art research methods. The Research Institute will partner with Sutter Health and university-based colleagues to enhance the generalizability and applicability of research findings and will work with PAMF to bring into practice the lessons of its research.
Who We Are
The PAMF Research Institute was created in 1950 as a center for clinical research. From a converted Victorian house in downtown Palo Alto, it has grown to a state-of-the-art research facility. Here its tradition of excellence continues.
